The formulation is
different in that the wax
goes on thinner and does
not need to be "buttered
on". This shortens the
time for the wax to dry

bikini and the Brazilian

can grab the hair but not
bond to the skin. It will
not cause "skin lifting" or
superficial bruising that
may come with strip
waxing. Hard wax "shrink
wraps" around the hair
and does not let go so
the hair and the root will
be removed. IF the hair
is too thick, the hair will
sometimes break off,
leaving the root intact.

BEST RESULTS for BRAZILIAN WAXING/BODY WAXING
Waxing pulls the hair out by the root. It traumatizes the root system. Eventually, with
regular waxing, the hair comes in thinner, and sometimes not at all. The longer the hair
stays, the longer the root is nourished and becomes stronger.
With regular waxing, the waxing service becomes faster and less painful. If the waxing
service is sporadic, the root system eventually becomes strengthened and starts over.
Schedule waxing appointments a few days after a cycle. Hormones can really sensitize
and heighten pain right before and during menstruation.
Regular waxing appointments should be between 4-6 weeks. 2 - 4 weeks in the summer.
Waxing is strongly NOT recommended if you are using Retin-A, Accutane, Tetracycline,
or any exfoliation process as this will cause skin lifting. These drugs stay in the system
up to six months.
Skin Lifting is lifting off of skin. This results in a "burn wound". This is caused by several
factors:
* Wax is too hot.
*Waxing over the same spot over and over with soft wax.
*Not telling the service provider that an exfoliant was used or medication was being taken
that causes skin thinning.
*Inexperienced waxing
